What do you do when your child has a melt down when you drop her/him off at school? Always say goodbye and have a routine every time. Goodbye meltdowns can often be avoided with a consistent goodbye routine. Have the same routine if you would leave to go to the grocery store or do an errand. It is good to say, " Mommy is going to the store and I will be back soon". When a parent or guardian has a goodbye routine it helps the child develop security and trust. Comments are closed.
