Over the summer we get new and fun toys for the preschoolers. It’s hard as a teacher not to put all the fun toys out at once. Here at ELP we don’t put out a lot of toys until the children learn where all the toys go. We put pictures and words to help the children keep the room organized. As the children learn where the toys go we slowly add more toys to the classroom teaching them sorting and matching! I recommend changing your child’s toys out once a month. This helps the children not get bored and keeps equipment and toys exciting. Hello, Dobriy den, Hola, Bonjour, Ola`, Hallo, and Hej are just some ways we can greet each other around the world. Here at Emmanuel Lutheran Preschool we teach the children how to greet people by:
1. Saying “Hello” 2. Waving 3. Hugging 4. Smiling Over the first few months we will be working with the children on how to greet other peers and teachers when entering the classroom. Greeting others will help in their development of social skills and set the tone of all social interactions. Miss Trixy |
